1. What are the assigned tasks of Party members in Vietnam?

The assigned tasks of Party members according to Instruction 01-HD/TW dated September 28, 2021 are as follows:

- Assigned duties include:

+ Tasks prescribed by the Party's Charter.

+ Tasks assigned by party organizations, authorities, agencies, units, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations.

- Completing the assigned tasks well means completing them with quality, efficiency, and ensuring the prescribed time.

- Assignment of work to party members is the assignment of party members to tasks within the leadership scope of the cell, such as: building a clean and strong branch; developing party members; building strong authorities and unions; building cultural life in residential areas; ensuring security and order; preventing and combating corruption, waste, and social evils;

The Party cell is responsible for assisting, inspecting, and supervising Party members' implementation, including the content of the annual quality assessment of Party members. Assigned party members are responsible for reporting to the branch periodically or upon request. The higher-level committees regularly direct, inspect, and supervise the implementation and learn from experience.

- The evaluation of the results of successfully completing the assigned tasks is based on the annual work review of the party members in the cell, the comments of the party committee, administration or agency, unit, Fatherland Front, and executive committees of socio-political organizations (where party members are members of such organizations) under the leadership of the branch.

2. Duties of Party members in Vietnam

Duties of Party members in Vietnam, according to Article 2 of the Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam 2011, are as follows:

- Being absolutely loyal to the Party's revolutionary ideals; strictly abiding by the political platform, the Party's charter, the Party's resolutions and directives; and the State's laws; successfully completing the assigned tasks; fully submitting to the Party's assignment and maneuvering.

- Constantly studying, practicing, and improving knowledge, working capacity, political qualities, revolutionary ethics, and a healthy lifestyle; fighting against individualism, opportunism, partiality, bureaucracy, corruption, waste, and other negative manifestations. Comply with the Central Committee's regulations on what party members can't do.

- Maintaining close contact with the people, respecting and promoting the people's right to mastery, taking care of the material and spiritual lives, and protecting the people's legitimate interests; actively participating in mass work, social work at work and at home; propagandizing and mobilizing families and people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

- Participating in building and protecting the Party's lines, policies, and organization; obeying discipline; maintaining unity and unity in the Party; regularly self-critiquing and critiquing; being honest with the Party; doing member development work; participating in party activities; and paying party fees in accordance with regulations.

3. Rights of Party members in Vietnam

Rights of Party members in Vietnam under Article 3 of the Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam 2011 are as follows:

- To be informed and discuss issues on the political platform, the Party's Charter, the lines, guidelines, and policies of the Party; vote on the work of the Party.

- To stand for, nominate, and elect the leading bodies of the Party at all levels according to the regulations of the Central Committee.

- To criticize and question activities of party organizations and party members at all levels within the organization; report, make recommendations to the responsible agencies, and request answers.

- To present opinions when the party organization reviews, decides on work, or enforces discipline against them.

To reserve membership, members have the above rights, except for the right to vote, stand for election, and elect the Party's leadership body.
