1. Traffic police uniforms when patrolling and controlling in Vietnam

The uniform of the Traffic Police when patrolling and controlling, according to Clause 1, Article 11 of Circular 65/2020/TT-BCA, is as follows:

- When patrolling, controlling, and handling violations, the traffic police shall wear police uniforms and wear the number of the People's Police according to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security. When controlling in the evening, at night, or during the day in foggy or bad weather conditions that limit visibility, a reflective vest must be worn;

- In cases of control through means of technical and professional equipment, a section of plainclothes traffic police shall be arranged to operate and use vehicles and professional technical equipment, to monitor traffic order and safety, to detect violations of the law on road traffic and other violations of the law. .

When detecting violations, they must immediately notify the public patrol and control department for control and handling in accordance with the law;

The Head of the Road Traffic Control and Patrol Division of the Traffic Police Department (hereinafter referred to as the Head of the Road Traffic Control and Patrol), the Head of the Traffic Police Department, and police chiefs of districts, urban districts, towns, provincial cities, and centrally run cities (hereinafter referred to as district-level police chiefs) or higher shall decide whether to wear police uniforms or plain clothes when using professional technical means and equipment, which must be clearly stated in the patrol and control plan.

2. Traffic police vehicles when patrolling and controlling in Vietnam

According to Clause 2, Article 11 of Circular 65/2020/TT-BCA, the means of transport of the Traffic Police when patrolling and controlling include cars, patrol and control motorcycles, special-use vehicles, and bicycles, as follows:

- Cars and motorbikes for patrol and control (white paint), special-use vehicles with the words traffic police bilingual (Vietnamese and English), install lights, police flags, and signal horns, and give priority signals as prescribed by law;

- The two sides of the patrol and control cars have blue reflective paint lines, and in the middle there are the words "CẢNH SÁT GIAO THÔNG" in white (with reflective material), with a font size of 10cm x 10cm and 03cm handwriting, balanced on both sides of the car; The two sides of the front door have the words "TRAFFIC POLICE" in blue (in reflective material), the maximum font size is two-thirds the size of the word "CẢNH SÁT GIAO THÔNG" and the Traffic Police badge in between the words "TRAFFIC" and "POLICE". Depending on the type of vehicle, the distance between the letters is arranged, and the words are balanced and appropriate;

- The two sides of the fuel tank or the sides or the sides of the trunk of a patrol and control motorcycle, with the words "C.S.G.T" written on them in blue (with reflective material), below have the words "TRAFFIC POLICE" in blue (with reflective material), and the maximum font size is two thirds of the size of the letter "C.S.G.T". Depending on the type of vehicle, the font size and spacing between the letters are arranged for balance and appropriateness;

- The priority signal whistle shall be used in accordance with the provisions of the law. Priority signal lights are used continuously in the following cases: Patrol, maneuver control; patrolling, controlling in the evening, at night, or during the day in foggy or bad weather conditions that limit visibility.
