Article 31 of Resolution 102/2015/QH13 stipulates the order to elect the President of Vietnam Vietnam as follows:
Step 1: The Standing Committee of the National Assembly presents the list of nominees to the National Assembly to elect the President.
In addition to the list proposed by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, National Assembly deputies have the right to nominate or nominate themselves for the position of State President; the person nominated to be a candidate has the right to withdraw from the list of candidates.
Step 2: The National Assembly deputies discuss at the National Assembly Delegation; The President of the National Assembly may meet with the heads of the National Assembly delegations to discuss related issues.
Step 3: The Standing Committee of the National Assembly shall report to the National Assembly the results of discussions at the National Assembly Delegation and explain and absorb the opinions of the National Assembly deputies; submit to the National Assembly for decision a list of candidates introduced by National Assembly deputies or self-nominated.
Step 4: The National Assembly discusses and votes on the list to elect the President.
Step 5: The National Assembly establishes a vote counting committee.
Step 6: The National Assembly elects the President by secret ballot.
Step 7: The Vote Counting Committee announces the results of the counting and voting.
Step 8: The National Assembly discusses and votes on the resolution to elect the President.
Step 9: The President takes the oath.
Article 33 of Resolution 102/2015/QH13 stipulates the order of electing the Vice President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy as follows:
Step 1: The President presents the list of nominees for the National Assembly to elect the Vice President, the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
In addition to the list proposed by the President, National Assembly deputies have the right to introduce more; or self-nominating for the position of Vice President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy; the person nominated to be a candidate has the right to withdraw from the list of candidates.
Step 2: The National Assembly deputies discuss at the National Assembly Delegation; The President of the National Assembly may meet with the heads of the National Assembly delegations and invite the State President to attend to discuss related issues.
Step 3: The Standing Committee of the National Assembly reports to the National Assembly the results of discussions at the National Assembly Delegation.
Step 4: The President reports to the National Assembly on the explanation and absorption of opinions of the National Assembly deputies.
Step 5: Standing Committee of the National Assembly submits to the National Assembly for decision a list of candidates introduced by National Assembly deputies or self-nominated.
Step 6: The National Assembly discusses and votes to approve the list to elect the Vice President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
Step 7: The National Assembly establishes a vote counting committee.
Step 8: The National Assembly elects the Vice President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy by secret ballot.
Step 9: The Vote Counting Committee announces the vote counting and voting results.
Step 10: The National Assembly discusses and votes on a resolution to elect the Vice President, the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
