1. What authority does the Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre belong to in Vietnam?

Occupational safety and health training center is a public non-business unit, directly under the Department of Occupational Safety, with the function of providing training on occupational safety and health in accordance with the provisions of law.

Occupational Safety and Health Training Center is located in Hanoi city; The international trading name is Occupational Safety and Health Training Center, abbreviated as OSHTC.

2. Tasks of the Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre in Vietnam

The tasks of the Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre include:

- Developing long-term and annual occupational safety and health training and training plans and submitting them to the Director of the Department of Occupational Safety for approval for implementation;

- Organizing training on occupational safety and health for subjects and groups of subjects according to the provisions of law;

- Training and retraining for trainers and lecturers on occupational safety and hygiene.

- To provide the service of measuring and inspecting the working environment according to the provisions of law;

- Compiling documents, contents, and training programs on occupational safety and health in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs and other relevant regulations;

- Researching, applying, developing, and transferring training programs on occupational safety and health;

- Participating in inspecting and evaluating the quality of training activities on occupational safety and health;

- Issuing and changing the Certificate, Certificate of training in occupational safety and health according to regulations;

- Organizing training and retraining of inspectors and technicians for technical inspection of occupational safety
for machines, equipment, and supplies subject to strict requirements on occupational safety and health according to the Ministry's program;

- International cooperation in the field of training, coaching, and consulting on occupational safety and hygiene;

- Carrying out scientific research; participating in training and retraining on occupational safety and health as assigned by the Ministry;

- Providing services for conferences and seminars for training courses on occupational safety and health held at the Center; organizing other service activities in accordance with the professional fields and capabilities of the unit as prescribed by law;

- Implementing programs, projects, and management activities on occupational safety and health assigned by the Ministry and Department of Occupational Safety;

- Managing and using civil servants, public employees, facilities, finances, and assigned assets according to the regulations of the State and the Ministry;

- Maintaining records and training materials on occupational safety and health according to regulations;

- Performing other duties as assigned by the Minister and the Director of the Department of Occupational Safety.

3. Organizational structure of the Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre in Vietnam

- Occupational Safety and Health Training Centre has a Director and a number of Deputy Directors.

- Affiliated organizations include:

+ Office;

+ Department of Planning - Finance;

+ Construction Safety Department;

+ Mine and Chemical Safety Department;

+ Mechanical, Thermal and Electrical Safety Room;

+ Labor Hygiene Department;

+ Workshop.
