Tasks of the Commune Military Command in medical examination for military service according to Article 19 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP are as follows:

- Assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with commune health stations in, organizing health pre-qualification; make a list of citizens who are healthy enough to perform military service, citizens with diseases on the list of diseases exempt from military service registration who have undergone pre-qualification, through the Commune Military Service Council, report to the District Military Service Council. Complete the administrative procedures for the military service health card.

- Check and urge citizens who are called up for military service to have a health check-up according to the plan of the District Military Service Council.

- Notify the results of the medical examination according to the conclusion of the district military service health examination council. Collecting comments and questions related to the citizen's medical examination and conclusion of military service (if any), to report to the District Military Command and the District Military Service Council for study and settlement.

2. Tasks of District Military Command in military service health checkup in Vietnam

According to Article 20 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, the tasks of the District Military Command in medical examination for military service as follows:

- Coordinate with the District Health Department and the District Health Center or the District Hospital (according to Clause 6, Article 6 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP) to plan health check-ups for citizens. eligible for military service.

- Summon citizens who are called up for military service to have a medical examination or a health check according to the plan of the District Military Service Council.

- Coordinate with functional agencies of the district to participate in the organization of medical examinations for military service as planned; monitor the quantity and quality of health of local citizens who come for medical examination.

- Manage the military service health card handed over by the district military service health examination council. The storage period until the citizen reaches the service age in the reserve rank is in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Military Service.

- Preside over and coordinate with the District Health Department in organizing the handover of health records of citizens called to the army to the units receiving the army as planned.

- Assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the district health center or district hospital (as prescribed in Clause 6, Article 6 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP) to plan and organize medical examinations for citizens registered to take the military entrance exam.

- Coordinate with the Health Department and relevant units and authorities of the district to settle complaints related to medical examinations, military service performance, and military enrollment.

- Summarize and report on the delivery and receipt of new soldiers to the Provincial Military Command after each round of recruitment and summoning of citizens according to Form 4b, Appendix 5 issued together with Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP.

3. Tasks of the Provincial Military Command in military service health checkup in Vietnam

The tasks of the Provincial Military Command in medical examination for military service according to Article 21 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP are as follows:

- Coordinate with the provincial Department of Health in directing, organizing the implementation, checking, and urging the medical examination for military service performance of the localities according to the plan of the Provincial Military Service Council.

- Organize cooperation with each unit receiving troops on health standards, quantity, time, location, and method of delivery and receipt of troops.

- Direct the medical examination for citizens registering for the military entrance exam.

- Coordinate with the provincial Department of Health to consider and resolve problems and complaints related to the medical examination, performance of military service, and military enrollment.

- Summarize and report on the results of medical examinations for military service performance and military enrollment according to regulations.
