1. Powers of Viet Nam Association of Architects

The powers of the Viet Nam Association of Architects include:

- To represent members in internal and external relationships related to the functions and tasks of the Association.

- To protect the legitimate rights and interests of members in accordance with the principles and purposes of the Association in accordance with the law.

- To join with ministries, ministerial-level agencies, to develop mechanisms and policies directly related to the functions, tasks, and powers of the Association's field of operation. Participate in performing a number of state management activities, public services in the field of activities of the Association at the request of state management agencies in the field of operation of the Association and according to the provisions of law.

- Consultancy, criticism, and social assessment of policies, programs, topics, projects, and management activities of urban-rural architectural planning, development investment projects, and conservation of architectural heritage at the request of state agencies, in accordance with the professional functions of the Association and the provisions of the Law on Architecture and relevant laws.

- To build and issue:

+ Code of professional conduct for architects practicing in accordance with the order and procedures prescribed by law on architecture;

+ Programs, documents serving the test, test questions after obtaining the written consent of the Ministry of Construction;

+ Detailed continuous career development scoring methodology table for the continuous professional development activities of practicing architects in accordance with the law on architecture after obtaining the written consent of the Ministry of Construction.

- To organize the implementation of continuous professional development activities, training, and fostering professional skills for architects; to organize the implementation of tests; and to participate in granting practice certificates to architects in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Architecture and relevant legal documents.

- To establish organizations with legal status and units under the Association according to the provisions of law to perform the tasks of the Association.

- To manage units and organizations of the Association, grassroots organizations, and members throughout the country.

- To reward and discipline units and organizations under the Association; members and people working at the Association; and to praise domestic and foreign collectives and individuals that have contributed to the development of Vietnamese architecture in accordance with the Association's regulations and the Law on Emulation and Commendation.

- To decide on financial and property matters of the Association in accordance with the law.

- To be supported by the State with operating expenses associated with the tasks assigned by the Party and State, and to receive legal funding from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals according to the provisions of law.

- To join the respective international organizations and sign and implement international agreements in accordance with the law after having the agreement of the competent authorities, the state management agency in charge of the branch or field in which the association operates, and the agency that decides to permit the establishment of the association on joining the respective international organization, signing and implementing international agreements.

2. Tasks of Viet Nam Association of Architects

The tasks of the Viet Nam Association of Architects include:

- To propagate and strictly implement the principles and purposes of the Association in order to participate in the development of fields related to the Association's activities, contributing to the construction and development of the country.

- To organize activities according to the approved Association Charter. The Association's activities are carried out on the principle of complying with the provisions of law related to the organization and operation of the Association.
must not harm national security, social order, morality, fine customs and traditions, the nation's traditions, or the legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations.

- To take care of research, critical reasoning, and architectural creation for members, serving as a basis for developing Vietnamese architecture with modern and national character.

- To build a team of members who are architects, discovering, developing, and fostering talents. Improve the creative capacity and professional skills of young architects.

- To conduct peer-reviewed counseling and social assessment. Participate in the development of legal documents related to the field of activities of the Association in accordance with the law.

- To propagate and disseminate policies, laws, knowledge, experiences, and achievements on architecture - construction of Vietnam and the world for architects and society, perform voluntary consultations for the community, and contribute to raising the aesthetic awareness of architecture in accordance with the national cultural identity and the development of the country.

- To build and consolidate the organization of the Association to operate effectively and have a positive impact on the cause of architecture - construction.

- To monitor, supervise, and reflect on the implementation of the Code of Professional Conduct for practicing architects.

- To participate in international and regional activities in ASEAN and Asia - Pacific in accordance with the provisions of law and competent authorities, in order to propagate and introduce Vietnamese architecture, expand professional cooperation, and exchange information and professional experiences with international colleagues.

- To gather and unite members; organize and coordinate activities among members for the common interests of the Association.

- To disseminate and train members on knowledge, guide members to comply with the laws, regimes, and policies of the State and the Association's Charter, regulations, and policies.

- To represent members to participate in and make recommendations to competent authorities on guidelines and policies related to the Association's field of operation in accordance with law.

- To conciliate disputes, settlement of reflections, recommendations, complaints, and denunciations within the Association in accordance with law.

- To develop and promulgate the code of ethics in the activities of the Association.

- To manage and use the funds of the Association in accordance with the provisions of the law.

- To perform other tasks when required by competent authorities and in accordance with the law.
