1. Tasks of Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association

The tasks of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association includes:

- Comply with the provisions of the law related to the organization and operation of the Association. Organize and operate according to the approved Association Charter. Not to take advantage of the Association's activities to harm national security, social order, morality, fine customs and traditions, the nation's traditions, and the legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations.

- Gather and unite members; develop a network of members in terms of number and qualifications; organize the coordination of activities among members for the common interests of the Association; strictly implement the principles and purposes of the Association in order to participate in the development of fields related to the Association's activities, contributing to the construction and development of the country. Protect the honor, legitimate rights, and interests of members in accordance with the law.

- Disseminate and train members on knowledge; guide members to comply with the laws, regimes, and policies of the State and the Association's Charter, regulations, and policies.

- Represent members to participate in and make recommendations to competent authorities on guidelines and policies related to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery as prescribed by law. Participate in the compilation or contribute ideas to the competent authorities in the compilation and appraisal of regulations, processes, provide professional guidance in the field of odonto-stomatology, and supervise the compliance with practice in the field of oral and maxillofacial practice in accordance with the law.

- Conciliate disputes, settlement of petitions, reflections, complaints, and denunciations within the Association in accordance with law.

- Develop and promulgate the code of ethics in the activities of the Association.

- Manage and use the funds of the Association in accordance with the provisions of the law.

- Commend and recommend to competent state agencies to reward individuals and collectives with achievements in the Association's activities, in research and application of science and technology,
in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and charity medical examination and treatment in the field of odonto-stomatology.

- Comply with the provisions of law and report to the competent state agencies when performing the following tasks: organizing the term Congress, Extraordinary General Meeting; changing key leadership titles; changing the Association's headquarters; amending and supplementing the Charter; establishing representative offices and organizations with legal status directly under the Association.

- Annually, the Association must report on the organization and operation of the Association to the competent state agency according to regulations.

- Comply with the guidance, examination, and inspection of competent state agencies in accordance with the law.

- Make and store at the head office the list of members, branches, representative offices, and organizations and units under and under the Association; books and documents on the assets and finances of the Association and representative offices; and minutes of meetings of the Executive Board, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the Association.

- Perform other duties when required by competent authorities.

2. Powers of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association

The powers of the Vietnam Odonto - Stomatology Association include:

- Propagate the principles and purposes of the Association in accordance with the law.

- Represent members in internal and external relations related to the functions and tasks of the Association.

- Protect the legitimate rights and interests of members in accordance with the principles and purposes of the Association and the law.

- Participate in programs, projects, research topics, consulting, criticism, and social assessment at the request of state agencies; provide public services on issues in the field of odonto-stomatology, organize vocational training and vocational transmission according to the provisions of law.

- Give opinions on legal documents related to the activities of the Association in accordance with the law. Propose to competent state agencies issues related to the development of the Association and the fields of its activities. Participate in the organization of professional training and retraining to organize service activities related to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery as prescribed by law. Participate in the evaluation of scientific research and projects in the field of odonto-stomatology when required by law.

- Coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations to perform the tasks of the Association.

- Establish a legal entity under the Association according to the provisions of the law to perform a number of tasks of the Association, in accordance with the field of operation of the Association.

- Raise funds for the Association on the basis of membership fees and revenues from service business activities related to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery as prescribed by law to self-finance the operating expenses.

- Receive legal funding sources from organizations and individuals at home and abroad according to the provisions of the law.

- Join the respective international organizations and sign and implement international agreements in accordance with the law after obtaining the agreement of the competent authorities, the state management agency in charge of the branch or field in which the Association operates, and the agency that decides to permit the establishment of the Association on joining the respective international organizations, signing, and implementing international agreements.
