According to Article 5 of the Regulations issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGDDT, the tasks of the Inclusive Education Development Support Center are as follows:
- Assess, determine abilities, and classify educational needs for children with signs of disability or functional impairment and students with disabilities for early educational intervention or advice on choosing appropriate educational methods for each subject.
- Support inclusive education for students with disabilities.
- Organize teaching and education at preschool and general education levels for students with disabilities so that students with disabilities can participate in inclusive education or community integration.
- Training and consulting for people with disabilities and organizations, units, and individuals with psychological, health, educational, and career guidance needs.
- Implement democratic regulations in the Center.
- Implement information, reporting, and accountability regimes before competent authorities, students, trainees, and society.

The powers of the Inclusive Education Development Support Center according to Article 6 of the Regulations issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGDDT are as follows:
- Exercise autonomy according to the provisions of the law and some of the following specific regulations:
+ Deciding on the Center's goals, mission, strategies, and development plans;
+ Decision to establish an organizational structure according to the Center establishment project approved by competent authorities;
+ Planning, training, fostering, and developing the Center's management staff, teachers and staff;
+ Financial revenues and expenditures; investment in developing conditions to ensure educational quality according to the provisions of law;
+ Enrollment and management of students and trainees; develop the Center's educational program; organize the compilation and selection of learning materials, utensils, toys, and learning materials according to the provisions of law;
+ Cooperate with domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to mobilize professional or financial resources to support the implementation of the Center's tasks according to the provisions of law.
- Employ and manage a team of managers, teachers, and employees; organize for teachers to update knowledge and improve professional capacity.
- Enjoy policies according to the law on encouraging socialization and assisting people with disabilities in the field of education.
- Other powers as prescribed by law.
The naming regulations of the Inclusive Education Development Support Center according to Article 4 of the Regulations issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGDDT are as follows:
- The naming of the Center is regulated as follows:
+ Center name: Center for supporting the development of inclusive education + Center's own name or place name;
+ The Center's proper name must be clear, transparent, and not misleading; Do not cause misunderstandings about the Center's organization and activities; ensure the purity of language; Do not use words or symbols that are inconsistent with the historical, cultural, ethical, and fine traditions of the nation.
- The Center's name is recorded on the decision to establish the center, as are the Center's seal, nameplate, and transaction documents.
- The Center's nameplate records the following contents:
+ Upper left corner
First line: People's Committee of the province/centrally-run city (hereinafter referred to as the Provincial People's Committee) and province name.
Second line: Department of Education and Training.
+ In the middle, write the name of the Center as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 4 of the Regulations issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGDDT;
+ At the bottom are the address, phone number, email, and website (if any) of the Center.
