Summary of emulation titles of Trade Union and forms of commendation of the Trade Union organization in Vietnam

The content is regulated in Decision 1689/QD-TLD of 2019 regarding the Reward Regulations of the Trade Union organization issued by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The Reward Regulations of the Trade Union organization stipulate the emulation titles and the criteria for these titles; forms, subjects, and criteria for commendation of the Trade Union organization; criteria for emulation titles, forms of state commendation applied in the review and proposal for commendation to higher authorities for collectives and individuals within the Trade Union system; the Emulation and Commendation Council at all levels; authority to decide, procedures for documents requesting commendation; the fund for emulation and commendation and the management of this fund within the Trade Union organization.

Summary of emulation titles of Trade Union in Vietnam

According to Clause 1, Article 5 of the Reward Regulations of the Trade Union organization, the emulation titles of the Trade Union include:

Emulation titles for individuals: “Outstanding Trade Union member”;

Emulation titles for collectives:

- “Trade Union Flag of the General Confederation”;

- “Trade Union Flag of the provincial, city, and Central sector Trade Union”;

- “Grassroots Trade Union that excellently fulfills its tasks”; “Industry Union that excellently fulfills its tasks” (collectively referred to as “Grassroots Trade Union that excellently fulfills its tasks”);

- “Outstanding Trade Union group”, “Outstanding Industry Union group”, “Outstanding department Trade Union”, “Outstanding department Industry Union” (collectively referred to as “Outstanding Trade Union group”).

Additionally, there are honorary titles and state emulation titles applied in the review and proposal for commendation within the Trade Union organization.

Honorary state titles for collectives and individuals:

- “Labor Hero”;

- “People’s Teacher”, “Excellent Teacher”;

- “People’s Doctor”, “Excellent Doctor”;

- “People’s Artist”, “Excellent Artist”;

- “People’s Artisan”, “Excellent Artisan”.

State emulation titles for individuals:

- “National Emulation Soldier”;

- “General Confederation’s Emulation Soldier”;

- “Grassroots Emulation Soldier”;

- “Advanced Worker”;

State emulation titles for collectives:

- “Government’s Emulation Flag”;

- “Excellent Labor Collective”;

- “Advanced Labor Collective”.

Forms of commendation of the Trade Union organization in Vietnam

According to the Reward Regulations of the Trade Union organization, the forms of commendation of the Trade Union organization include:

- Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (referred to as Certificate of Merit of the General Confederation);

- Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the provincial, city, Central sector Trade Union under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (referred to as Certificate of Merit of the provincial, city, Central sector Trade Union);

- Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (referred to as Creative Labor Certificate of the General Confederation);

- Medal “For the Work of Trade Union Organization Development”;

- Commendation certificate from the Executive Committee of the Directly Managed Corporation’s Trade Union, the Upper Level Trade Union, the grassroots Trade Union; commendation certificate from the heads of public service providers, directors of enterprises within the Trade Union organization;

- “Nguyen Duc Canh Award” of the General Confederation;

- “Nguyen Van Linh Award” of the General Confederation;

- Awards from provincial, city Trade Unions, Central sector Trade Unions, and Directly Managed Corporation’s Trade Unions under the General Confederation.

Besides that, there are forms of state commendation applied in the review and proposal for commendation within the Trade Union organization, including:

- Orders;

- Medals;

- State honorary titles;

- “Ho Chi Minh Award”, “State Award”;

- Commemorative Medals, Badges;

- Certificates of Merit;

- Commendation certificates.
