1. Regulations on signals and technical requirements for signal emitting devices of priority vehicles in Vietnam

According to Article 19 of Decree 151/2024/ND-CP regarding signal and technical requirements for signal emitting devices of priority vehicles:

- Signals and technical requirements for signal emitting devices of priority vehicles include:

+ For priority signal lights, the signals used are flashing red lights, flashing blue lights, flashing blue and red lights according to the technical requirements specified in Appendix I attached to Decree 151/2024/ND-CP;

+ For priority signal sirens, the signals used are according to the technical requirements specified in Appendix I attached to Decree 151/2024/ND-CP

+ For priority flags, the technical requirements are implemented according to the regulations specified in Appendix I attached to Decree 151/2024/ND-CP.

- Signals used for signal emitting devices of priority vehicles:

+ Signals for firefighting vehicles of the Firefighting Police and rescue vehicles of other forces mobilized for firefighting tasks include: red flashing light signals, priority siren signals;

+ Signals for military force vehicles on urgent missions include: red flashing light signals, priority siren signals, military flags;

+ Signals for police vehicles, vehicles of the inspection force on urgent missions include: blue and red flashing light signals, priority siren signals;

+ Signals for Traffic Police escort vehicles include: blue and red flashing light signals, priority siren signals, police flags;

+ Signals for ambulances on emergency missions include: red flashing lights, priority siren signals;

+ Signals for dyke protection vehicles, vehicles on rescue and disaster response missions, disease outbreak response, vehicles on tasks in emergency state as regulated by law: blue flashing light signals.

2. Vehicles equipped with priority signal emitting devices in Vietnam

According to Article 18 of Decree 151/2024/ND-CP, the vehicles equipped with priority signal emitting devices are as follows:

- Firefighting vehicles of the Firefighting Police and rescue vehicles of other forces mobilized for firefighting duties.

- Military force vehicles on urgent missions including: military vehicles carrying out command firefighting, rescue, combat command, urgent information tasks, command of military convoys, vehicles for military control, military vehicle inspection, protection of convoys; vehicles performing the task of arrest, search or conducting other investigative activities, escorting suspects, defendants, prisoners; participating in anti-terrorism.

- Police force vehicles on urgent missions including: Traffic Police vehicles on patrol, inspection, command, control, investigation, accident resolution; vehicles on protection tasks; vehicles on rescue and emergency tasks; vehicles performing the task of arrest, search or conducting other investigative activities, escorting suspects, defendants, prisoners; information vehicles on urgent tasks; vehicles on anti-riot, dispel public disorder missions; vehicles on anti-terrorism, hostage rescue missions.

- Inspection force vehicles on urgent missions include vehicles performing arrest, search or other investigative activities.

- Traffic Police escort vehicles.

- Ambulances on emergency duties.

- Dyke protection vehicles on duty; vehicles on rescue, disaster recovery, disease response tasks.

- Vehicles on tasks during an emergency state as regulated by law, including: vehicles serving the Steering Committee, vehicles serving functional forces mobilized to participate in task execution during an emergency.
