When the National Assembly deputies are no longer worthy of the trust of the People in Vietnam, they shall be removed from office by the National Assembly or the voters. The following is the procedure for removal of National Assembly deputies in accordance with the law.

The procedure for removal of National Assembly deputies in Vietnam includes the following steps:
- The Standing Committee of National Assembly proposes to National Assembly the removal of the National Assembly deputies.
- The National Assembly discusses at the National Assembly Delegation; the President may meet with the Heads of the National Assembly Delegation to discuss relevant issues.
- The Standing Committee of the National Assembly reports to the National Assembly on the results of the discussions at the National Assembly delegation and explains and receives the opinions of the National Assembly delegation.
- In Vietnam, before the National Assembly deliberates, the deputies of the National Assembly whose dismissal is proposed has the right to express their opinions in plenary sessions, except for cases of temporary detention under decisions of competent agencies and other cases decided by the National Assembly at the proposal of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.
- The National Assembly establishes a Vote Counting Committee.
- The National Assembly dismisses its deputies by secret ballot.
- The Vote Counting Committee announces the results of vote counting and voting.
- The National Assembly discusses and votes to approve the resolution on dismissal of the National Assembly deputies in Vietnam.
