Procedure for reissuing certificates of eligibility for doing the sports business in Vietnam (Internet image)
The procedure for reissuing certificates of eligibility for doing the sports business is regulated in Decision 775/QD-BVHTTDL in 2024 as follows:
* Implementation process:
- The business submits the application through the post office or electronically or directly to the specialized sports agency under the provincial People's Committee where the sports business activities are registered or where the business has its main office in case the business has multiple locations for sports business activities.
- The specialized sports agency under the provincial People's Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Certificate-issuing agency) issues a receipt for the application to the business.
- In case the application needs to be amended or supplemented, the Certificate-issuing agency shall directly notify or send a written notice to the business regarding the content to be amended or supplemented within three (03) working days from the date of receiving the application. Within five (05) working days from the date of receiving the complete application as regulated, the Certificate-issuing agency assesses the application and reissues the certificate of eligibility if the conditions are met. In cases of refusal, a written notification stating the reason must be provided.
* Documents required and quantity:
- Documents required:
(1) Application for reissuing certificates of eligibility for doing the sports business (according to Form No. 03 Appendix III of Decree 31/2024/ND-CP dated March 15, 2024)
(2) The original certificate of eligibility that has been issued;
(3) Supporting documents proving the changes in the content of the certificate of eligibility.
- Quantity of documents: One (01) set.
- Submission method: Submission through the post office or electronically or direct submission.

- The business submits the application through the post office or electronically or directly to the specialized sports agency under the provincial People's Committee where the sports business activities are registered or where the business has its main office in case the business has multiple locations for sports business activities.
- The specialized sports agency under the provincial People's Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Certificate-issuing agency) issues a receipt for the application to the business.
- In case the application needs to be amended or supplemented, the Certificate-issuing agency directly notifies or sends a written notice to the business regarding the content to be amended or supplemented within three (03) working days from the date of receiving the application.

(1) Application for reissuing certificates of eligibility for doing the sports business (according to Form No. 03 Appendix III of Decree 31/2024/ND-CP dated March 15, 2024)
(2) The original certificate of eligibility that has been damaged in case of damage;
- Quantity of documents: One (01) set.
- Submission method: Submission through the post office or electronically or direct submission.
- Taking advantage of physical training and sport activities to infringe upon the State's interests, nation and lawful rights and interests of organizations and individuals; harming human health, life, honor, dignity and prestige. Physical training and sport activities in contravention of social ethics, fine customs and traditions and cultural identities.
- Using banned stimulants or applying banned methods in sports training and competition.
- Cheating in sports activities.
- Committing acts of violence in sports activities.
- Obstructing lawful physical training and sports activities of organizations and individuals.
- Abusing positions and powers to falsify sports competition results.
- Organizing illegal sports betting or participate in illegal sports betting.
