1. Organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam

The organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology includes:

* Administrative organizations assisting the Minister in performing state management functions, including:

- Department of Social Sciences, Humanities and Nature.

- Department of Science and Technology of economic - technical branches.

- Technology Assessment, Appraisal and Appraisal Department.

- Department of High Technology.

- Department of Atomic Energy.

- Department of Technology Application and Technical Advancement.

- Financial planning services.

- Legal services.

- Organize staff.

- Department of International Cooperation.

- Office sets.

- Inspectorate of the Ministry.

- Department of Technology Development and Innovation.

- National Science and Technology Information Department.

- Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises.

- Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety.

- Department of Intellectual Property.

- National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality.

The National Committee for Standards, Metrology, and Quality is allowed to use the national emblem stamp.

* Non-business units serving the state management function of the Ministry, including:

- Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The Minister of Science and Technology shall submit to the Prime Minister for promulgation a decision stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation and a list of applications. other public service positions under the ministry.

The Minister of Science and Technology stipulates the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the units under the Ministry according to their assigned competence.

2. Tasks of the Ministry of Science and Technology regarding intellectual property in Vietnam

Tasks of the Ministry of Science and Technology regarding intellectual property in Vietnam include:

- Assuming the prime responsibility for, and coordinating with ministries, branches, and localities in, formulating, guiding, and organizing the implementation of mechanisms, policies, strategies, master plans, plans, programs, and projects on intellectual property.

- Formulating, guiding, organizing, and inspecting the implementation of the provisions of the law on intellectual property; stipulating processes and procedures for registration, establishment, and transfer of technology ownership rights by organizations and individuals.

- State management of initiative activities.

- Guiding and organizing the establishment and transfer of industrial property rights; taking measures to protect the legitimate interests of the State, organizations, and individuals in the field of industrial property.

- Providing guidance on industrial property operations for management agencies, organizations, and individuals; guiding and supporting organizations and individuals to manage, exploit, and develop intellectual property under state management in accordance with law.

- Managing industrial property representation, industrial property assessment, and other intellectual property services.

- Assuming the prime responsibility for organizing the settlement of industrial property disputes and commercial disputes related to industrial property according to the provisions of law.

- Coordinating with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade in performing the state management of intellectual property related fields as assigned by the Government.
