Ho Chi Minh City: Each teacher will be given VND 1.5 million in this Lunar New Year 2021

Firstly, the spending amount: VND 1,500,000/person.

Secondly, subjects: Officials, public employees, employees at administrative agencies, public non-business units under the Department of Education and Training (present at the time of January 2021 and in the staffing quota assigned in 2021).

Thirdly, funding sources:

- For administrative agencies and public non-business units, all operating costs are covered by the state budget: the city budget adds budget estimates to spend Tet gifts for officials, public employees and employees of the unit. In order to promptly send Tet gifts for officials, public employees and employees, it is recommended that units pay from the allocated funds in the 2021 estimate or advance from other revenue sources of the unit. Concurrently, the unit has a written request to supplement the 2021 estimate (the part of the funding that is not self-executing, the non-recurring funding) with the unit's January 2021 salary sheet and sends it to the Department of Education and Training before January 31, 2021.

- For public non-business units that self-finance their regular operating expenses, public non-business units shall cover a part of regular operating expenses themselves: the unit self-balances itself from autonomously allocated funding sources of the unit to spend Tet gifts for officials, public employees and employees at the unit.

Thus, in this New Year, officials, public employees and employees at administrative agencies, public non-business units under the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will receive Tet gifts at the amount of VND 1,500,000/person, provided that they must be present at the time of January 2021 and within the assigned payroll quota in 2021.
