The following are regulations regarding the nomination of individuals from local agencies, organizations, and units to run for the National Assembly of Vietnam.

1. Guidelines for introducing local agencies, organizations, and units' representatives to run for national assembly elections in Vietnam

According to Article 42 of the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and Deputies to People's Councils 2015, based on the initial adjustment by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the criteria for National Assembly deputies, local agencies, organizations, and units allotted the number of candidates to be introduced should select and introduce candidates from their units to run for National Assembly elections as follows:

- The leadership of political organizations, political-social organizations, and social organizations shall propose candidates from their organizations to run for the National Assembly, organizing a preliminary consultation meeting where voters from the workplace of the candidate are present. Based on the feedback from this preliminary meeting, the organization's leadership shall hold an expanded Executive Committee meeting to discuss and introduce their candidates for National Assembly elections;

- The leadership of state agencies, public service providers, and economic organizations shall cooperate with the executive committee of their trade unions to propose candidates from their units to run for the National Assembly, organizing a preliminary consultation meeting where voters from the workplace of the candidate are present. Based on the feedback from this preliminary meeting, the leadership shall hold a meeting with the unit's leadership, representatives from the trade union's executive committee, and leaders of subordinate units to discuss and introduce their candidates for the National Assembly;

- In armed forces units, the unit's command shall propose candidates from their units to run for the National Assembly, organizing a preliminary consultation meeting where voters from the workplace of the candidate are present. Based on the feedback from this preliminary meeting, the unit's command shall hold a meeting with the unit's leadership, representatives from the executive committee of the trade union (if any), representatives of military personnel, and commanders of directly subordinate units to discuss and introduce their candidates for the National Assembly;

- The organization of the preliminary consultation meeting as stipulated in Article 42 of the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and Deputies to People's Councils 2015 shall be carried out according to the provisions of Article 45 of the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and Deputies to People's Councils 2015;

- Local agencies, organizations, and units introducing candidates for the National Assembly must forward the minutes of the preliminary consultation meeting and the minutes of the leadership's meeting assessing the candidates to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the provincial level before the second consultative conference is held.

2. Guidelines for Iintroducing central agencies, organizations, and units' representatives to run for national assembly elections in Vietnam

According to Article 41 of the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and Deputies to People's Councils 2015, based on the initial adjustment by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the criteria for National Assembly deputies, central agencies, organizations, and units allotted the number of candidates to be introduced should select and introduce candidates from their units to run for National Assembly elections as follows:

- The leadership of political organizations, political-social organizations, and social organizations shall propose candidates from their organizations to run for the National Assembly, organizing a preliminary consultation meeting where voters from the workplace of the candidate are present. Based on the feedback from this preliminary meeting, the organization's leadership shall hold an expanded Executive Committee or Presidium meeting to discuss and introduce their candidates for National Assembly elections;

- In state agencies, the leadership shall cooperate with the executive committee of the trade unions to propose candidates from their units to run for the National Assembly, organizing a preliminary consultation meeting where voters from the workplace of the candidate are present. Based on the feedback from this preliminary meeting, the leadership shall hold a meeting with the unit's leadership, representatives from the trade union's executive committee, and leaders of subordinate units to discuss and introduce their candidates for the National Assembly;

- The organization of the preliminary consultation meeting as stipulated in this Article shall be carried out according to the provisions of Article 45 of the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and Deputies to People's Councils 2015;

- Central agencies, organizations, and units introducing candidates for the National Assembly must forward the minutes of the preliminary consultation meeting and the minutes of the leadership's meeting assessing the candidates to the Standing Committee of the Central Vietnam Fatherland Front before the second consultative conference is held.
