Guidance on the implementation of the Action Month for gender equality and the prevention and response to gender-based violence in Vietnam in 2024

- Develop and issue guidance to affiliated units for the implementation of the Action Month at ministries and central authorities, organizations, and local authorities in Vietnam.

- Organize the Launch Ceremony of the Action Month in an appropriate format; enhance propaganda about the theme, messages, and activities of the Action Month on mass media at central and local levels through various forms suitable to different target groups and actual conditions such as: direct communication; propaganda on radio and television systems; local information systems in communes, wards, commune-level towns; electronic information sites, online newspapers, and social networks; hanging banners, slogans at public places and on public transportation,...

- Organize forums, dialogues, discussions, workshops, and training on topics related to the theme of the 2024 Action Month; propagate policies ensuring social welfare for the general public, especially women and children, emphasizing the role of empowering women and girls in promoting gender equality. Organize competitions on the topic of gender equality and gender-based violence (law knowledge contests, creative writing, dramatization, outstanding propagandist festivals), organize cultural exchanges, sports...; organize activities supporting victims, women, and children in difficult circumstances; commend exemplary groups and individuals in gender equality work, prevention, response to violence against women and children in general and in the implementation of the 2024 Action Month in particular.

- Strengthen digital communication through social networks (Facebook, Fanpage, YouTube...) to reach more people, especially youth, students... to further spread gender equality and prevention, response to gender-based violence, and empower women and girls.

- Publish communication products about policies on social welfare, the role of women, gender equality, and prevention, response to violence, abuse against women and children, skills to prevent and respond to the negative impacts of climate change, natural disasters, floods, and epidemics.

- Intensify resource mobilization to implement the Action Month, increase private investment in media activities and support women, children in difficult circumstances, victims of abuse, violence, trafficking, exploitation, and individuals affected by natural disasters, climate change,...

- Strengthen inspection forms regarding gender equality and the advancement of women at agencies, units, and local authorities during the Action Month. Strictly handle violations of gender equality, gender-based violence, and the implementation of policies supporting social welfare.

- Submit news articles about the activities of the Action Month implementation at agencies, units, and local authorities to be published on the electronic information site of the National Committee for the Advancement of Vietnamese Women, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam, the People's Committees at all levels, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of provinces, centrally-run cities, and other press agencies.

- Report activity results to the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam before December 31, 2024, for compilation.
