Fireworks display locations for Lunar New Year 2025 in Binh Thuan

On December 26, 2024, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province issued Official Dispatch 4897/UBND-KGVXNV of 2024 on organizing cultural, artistic, sports activities and low-altitude fireworks displays at the moment of New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year of the Snake in 2025.

Binh Thuan Province will organize low-altitude fireworks displays on the New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year 2025 at the following 4 locations:

(1) Phan Thiet City (one display point, at the intersection of Nguyen Tat Thanh - Le Loi Streets and Doi Duong Park, Binh Hung Ward, with a quantity of 120 firing units);

(2) Tuy Phong District (one display point, at the premises of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the district, with a quantity of 90 firing units);

(3) Bac Binh District (one display point, at Xuan An 2 Ward, commune-level town Cho Lau, with a quantity of 90 firing units);

(4) Ham Thuan Bac District (one display point, at the dyke area of the Cai River, commune-level town Ma Lam, with a quantity of 90 firing units).

The duration of the fireworks displays in these localities will not exceed 15 minutes, starting from 00:00 to 00:15 on January 29, 2025 (at the moment of New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year of the Snake in 2025).

The execution of these events will be funded by private investment mobilized by the district and city People's Committees, without using the state budget.

Regulations on cases permitted to organize fireworks displays in Vietnam 

Pursuant to Article 11 of Decree 137/2020/ND-CP (amended and supplemented by Clause 2 Article 3 Decree 56/2023/ND-CP), the cases permitted to organize fireworks displays include:

(1) Lunar New Year

- Centrally governed cities and Thua Thien Hue Province are permitted to organize both high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes.

- Other provinces are permitted to organize low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes.

- Fireworks displays are conducted at the moment of Lunar New Year's Eve.

(2) Hung Kings' Commemoration Day

- Phu Tho Province is permitted to organize low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes, at the Hung Temple area.

- Time of display: 9:00 PM on the 9th of the lunar March.

(3) National Day

- Centrally governed cities and Thua Thien Hue Province are permitted to organize both high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes.

- Other provinces are permitted to organize low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes.

- Time of display: 9:00 PM on September 2.

(4) Dien Bien Phu Victory Day

- Dien Bien Province is permitted to organize low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes, at Dien Bien Phu City.

- Time of display: 9:00 PM on May 7.

(5) Victory Day (April 30 of the solar calendar)

- Hanoi capital and Ho Chi Minh City are permitted to organize both high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes.

- Time of display: 9:00 PM on April 30.

(6) Anniversary of Liberation Day, Establishment Day of centrally governed provinces and cities

- Centrally governed cities and Thua Thien Hue Province are permitted to organize both high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes.

- Other provinces are permitted to organize low-altitude fireworks displays, not exceeding a duration of 15 minutes.

- Time of display: 9:00 PM on the Liberation Day, Establishment Day of centrally governed provinces and cities.

(7) National or international cultural, tourism, sports events

(8) Other cases as decided by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism after written consent with the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defense.
