1. Position and functions of the Inspectorate Magazine in Vietnam

Inspectorate Magazine is the Press agency of the Government Inspectorate, has the function of informing and propagating the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State in the fields of inspection, citizen reception, resolving complaints and denunciations, preventing and combating corruption, and other areas of activity. It is a scientific forum for exchanging practical, theoretical, and professional experiences in inspection work, citizen reception, resolving complaints and denunciations, preventing and combating corruption, and other areas of activity according to the provisions of the Press Law and the Government Inspectorate.

Inspection Magazine is a public service unit that self-funds part of its regular expenses, has legal status, and has its own seal and account; Head office is located in Hanoi city.

2. Duties and powers of the Inspectorate Magazine in Vietnam

2.1. Duties of Inspectorate Magazine in Vietnam

- The magazine is responsible for operating in accordance with the principles and purposes stated in the Publishing License of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the provisions of the Press Law, and the provisions of the Government Inspectorate;

- Organize editing, publishing, and distribution of magazines and publications and the document that covers theory, expertise, and practical experience in inspection work, receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption according to the provisions of law and of the Government Inspector General;

- Organize the implementation of information and propaganda tasks of the Party, policies and laws of the State, and directions of Government Inspectorate leaders about inspection work, receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, preventing and combating corruption and activities of the Inspection industry in the Magazine, Inspector e-Magazine (Thanhtravietnam.vn), and other publications published and distributed by the Magazine;

- Organize research and exchange professional theories and practical experiences on inspection work, citizen reception, resolving complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption in the Journal;

- Organize programs, events, seminars, and activities in accordance with assigned functions and tasks associated with the implementation of political tasks of the Inspectorate according to the policies and plans approved by the Government Inspectorate leaders;

- Carry out tasks of administrative reform, international cooperation, scientific research, and training as assigned by the Government Inspectorate leaders;

- Organize and participate in cultural and sports events, and learn about the law inside and outside the Inspection industry;

- Manage finances and assets according to the provisions of the law and the decentralization of the Government Inspector General;

- Recruit, employ, and manage officials, workers, and collaborators according to the provisions of law and the authorization of the Government Inspector General;

- Perform other tasks assigned by the Government Inspector General and according to the provisions of the law.

2.2. Powers of the Inspectorate Magazine in Vietnam

- The magazine can exercise its powers according to the provisions of the Press Law, guiding documents of state management agencies on press activities, and regulations of the Government Inspector General;

- Send reporters to attend conferences of the inspection industry, meetings, and seminars of the Government Inspectorate according to regulations;

- Funds are allocated to organize propaganda, organize seminars, and organize programs according to the task requirements of the Government Inspectorate leaders;

- Sign information, propaganda, and advertising contracts with ministries, branches, localities, and businesses according to assigned functions and tasks.
