Previously, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Circular 112/2020/TT-BTC reducing the collection of a number of fees and charges (from January 1, 2021 to the end of June 30, 2021). Therefore, the collection rate for the fee for the issuance of citizen identification is equal to 50% of the fee rate specified in Article 4 of Vietnam's Circular 59/2019/TT-BTC.

Thus, the fee for granting Citizen ID card will continue to be reduced until the end of 2021 according to Vietnam's Circular 47/2021/TT-BTC effective from July 1, 2021 to the end of December 31, 2021.
