According to Article 11 of Decree 13/2016/ND-CP, the benefits for citizens during the military service registration period are as follows:
- Citizens working in agencies, organizations receiving salaries from the state budget, and state-owned enterprises during the military service registration period are entitled to full salary, allowances, and travel expenses according to the current legal regulations.
- Citizens not working in agencies, organizations receiving salaries from the state budget, or state-owned enterprises during the military service registration period are ensured the following Benefits:
+ Meal allowance equivalent to the basic daily food expense of a non-commissioned officer or infantry soldier;
+ Reimbursement of travel expenses according to current legal regulations.
- The Benefits specified in Clauses 1 and 2 of Article 11 of Decree 13/2016/ND-CP are applied to cases where citizens are registering for military service for the first time or registering for service in the reserve force.
Regulations on supplementary military service registration in Vietnam according to Article 6 of Decree 13/2016/ND-CP are as follows:
- Documentation
+ A photocopy of the Military Service Registration Certificate or Reserve Force Registration Certificate (bring the original for comparison).
+ A photocopy of documents related to changes in job position, educational level, professional qualifications, health status, and other information related to military service (bring the original for comparison).
- Implementation procedure
+ Within 10 days from the date of changes in job position, educational level, professional qualifications, health status, and other information related to military service, citizens must directly go to the commune-level Military Command to register for supplementary military service;
+ Within 1 day, the commune-level Military Command completes the supplementary military service registration; amends and supplements the citizen's changed information in the Military Service ready-for-enlistment registration book, Reserve Force registration book, and Reserve Force roster. In cases where agencies or organizations do not have a Military Command, the head or legal representative of the agency or organization is responsible for organizing the citizen's supplementary military service registration at their place of residence;
+ Within 10 days, the commune-level Military Command consolidates and reports to the district-level Military Command about the supplementary military service registration. The district-level Military Command updates the citizen's changed information in the ready-for-enlistment registration book, Reserve Force registration book, and Reserve Force roster.
Documentation and forms of application for military service registration according to Article 3 of Decree 13/2016/ND-CP are as follows:
- Military service registration dossiers are made into one set and managed at the district-level Military Command, including districts, district-level towns, provincial-level cities, and equivalent administrative units (hereinafter referred to as district-level Military Command).
- The Minister of Defense shall stipulate the system of military service registration forms, including:
+ Military Service Registration Call Order;
+ Military Service Health Self-Declaration Form;
+ Reserve Force Roster;
+ Military Service Registration Certificate;
+ Reserve Force Registration Certificate;
+ Military Service Registration Transfer Introduction Letter;
+ Reserve Force Transfer Introduction Letter;
+ Register of 17-year-old male citizens of the year;
+ Ready-for-enlistment registration book;
+ Reserve Force registration book.
