On April 26, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024, providing guidance on admissions to universities and pedagogical colleges for Early Childhood Education.

There are 10 notable points candidates taking the 2024's high school graduation exam in Vietnam should know, which include:

(1) Carefully studying the admission information of the training institutions in the admission plan and the admission regulations of the training institutions; registering for admission according to the regulations of the training institutions (regarding criteria, conditions, documents, procedures, and admission period) on the admission portal of the training institutions; all preferences of candidates must be registered for admission on the general admission portal of the Ministry of Education and Training or on the National Public Service Portal (the content and implementation time according to the regulations in point 7 of this section). Candidates should not register preferences for majors or programs that do not meet the admission requirements.

(2) Declaring and providing complete and accurate information for all registration details to the training institutions.

(3) Accurately declaring, honestly, and responsibly providing information (according to the specified timelines) to be eligible for priority regions and priority groups (if applicable) at the time of registering for the high school graduation exam in 2024 (along with supporting documents for priority groups if provided in Appendix VIII). The information on permanent residence declared by candidates will be verified and authenticated by relevant authorities based on the population database.

(4) Candidates applying for direct admission or preferential admission according to the regulations of the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training must submit their direct admission and preferential admission dossier made using the Forms in Appendix III and IV before 5:00 PM on June 30, 2024, with no limit regarding the number of options to the training institution according to the guidelines of the training institution.

(5) Following the instructions of the Department of Education and Training, candidates should use the assigned accounts to review their high school academic results (transcripts) on the General Enrollment Support System (System) and report any errors to their teachers, who are responsible for the high school where the candidates study, for correction (if any) by no later than 5:00 PM on May 31, 2024.

(6) Candidates who have graduated from high school or intermediate level education institutions (independent candidates) and wish to apply for admission but have not registered their personal information on the System must register using the registration form to be issued an account for registering their preferences for admission (admission options) from July 1 to July 20, 2024. The candidates should:

- Download the registration form for personal information in Appendix V and fill in the required information on the form.

- Submit the form at the designated reception point (according to the regulations and instructions of the Department of Education and Training at the candidate's place of residence) to receive account information and enter personal information into the System for admission procedures.

(7) Registration and processing of admission options:

* From July 18th to 5:00 PM on July 30th, 2024, candidates can register, amend their admission options an unlimited number of times.

- Candidates must use their assigned accounts to process information (input, view, edit) on the system.

- The registration of admission options for majors/programs must be done online through the system or the National Public Service Portal (detailed instructions are available on the system or the National Public Service Portal).

- Candidates' options for all registered training institutions and fields/programs should be prioritized and numbered from first to last option (with the first option being the top priority). Candidates must provide corresponding data (according to the criteria, conditions, and registration procedures specified in the admission plan of the training institutions) for the majors/programs they have chosen for admission. Detailed instructions for the registration process are available on the system when candidates access it for registration.

- All admission preferences of candidates for training institutions will be processed on the system, and each candidate will be admitted to only one top option among the registered options, provided they meet the admission requirements.

- Candidates who have completed the preliminary selection process for a training institution according to the early admission plan, and if they meet the admission requirements (excluding high school graduation requirements), must continue to register their admission options on the system as specified.

* From July 31st to 5:00 PM on August 6th, 2024:

Candidates must pay the admission processing fee online according to the number of admission options, following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

* Candidates eligible for regional priority policies or other preferential policies must coordinate with the designated information review points for the respective regions (as specified in Appendix VI) and the priority subjects of the candidates (if any).

Candidates should carefully study the instructional materials and follow the complete registration process for admission. If candidates have any questions or uncertainties regarding the declaration of information or payment of admission fees, they can contact the staff at the designated information acceptance points or the contact numbers provided by the admission support services of the training institutions for guidance.

(8) Enrollment Confirmation:

- For candidates admitted directly, from July 22nd to 5:00 PM on July 31st, 2024, candidates can confirm their enrollment through the system (candidates who have confirmed their enrollment will not be allowed to continue registering admission preferences unless authorized by the head of the training institution to not enroll). If the enrollment decision is not yet determined, candidates can continue registering their admission preferences through the system or the National Public Service Portal like other candidates, and if admitted, they will confirm their enrollment according to the general schedule.

- The latest deadline for all admitted candidates to complete online enrollment confirmation for the first round on the system is 5:00 PM on August 27th, 2024.

(9) From August 28th, 2024, to December 2024, candidates who have the need to participate in additional admission rounds offered by the training institutions should follow the admission plan published on the respective training institution's admission information page (if the institution offers additional rounds of admission). Candidates who have been admitted and confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional admission rounds unless authorized by the head of the training institution to not enroll.

(10) Candidates must submit their admission verification documents at the training institution (following the instructions regarding the time and location provided by the institution). Candidates with aptitude-based subjects who wish to use aptitude scores from other training institutions for admission must contact the respective training institution to register for the aptitude test, participate in the test, or submit their aptitude test scores.
