The dissemination of statistical information by the General Statistics Office must ensure the following purposes and requirements:
- Meet the needs of State statistical information for agencies, organizations, and individuals according to the provisions of law.
- Provide general State statistical information, and statistical information of the General Statistics Office in particular is increasingly becoming an official source of statistical information uniformly used by domestic and international agencies, organizations, and individuals, contributing to making statistical information truly social knowledge.
- Strengthen the relationship between agencies, units, and statistical workers under the General Statistics Office with agencies, organizations, and individuals using statistical information; improve the efficiency of using statistical information produced and disseminated by the General Statistics Office.

The General Statistics Office, the Statistics Department and the Statistics Branch are responsible for disseminating the following main statistical information:
(1) Statistical information specified in the National Statistical Indicator System, Provincial, District, and Community Indicator Systems, and other socio-economic statistical indicator systems is responsible for dissemination.
(2) Statistical information in the estimated statistical report reflects the socio-economic situation of the month, quarter, 6 months, 9 months, and the whole year (referred to as the Monthly Socio-Economic Situation Report for short). ).
(3) Statistical information belongs to the annual official statistical report.
(4) Statistical information is in the Statistical Yearbook compiled annually.
(5) Statistical information evaluating real results; present the main indicators of the Plan, the Socio-Economic Development Strategy, the National Target Program and other statistical information to evaluate the dynamics and current status of socio-economic development.
(6) Statistical information from general censuses and statistical surveys assigned to the chair.
(7) Foreign statistical information is collected, synthesized, and disseminated periodically and non-periodically.
(8) Specialized, extraordinary statistical information and other socio-economic statistical information within the functions and tasks of collecting, synthesizing, and disseminating.
(9) Statistical information in original statistical databases, aggregated statistical databases, and statistical data warehouses.

The dissemination of statistical information by the General Statistics Office must comply with the following principles:
- Conducting in an organized manner, according to the provisions of the Law on Statistics, the Policy on the Dissemination of State Statistical Information, and other legal documents.
- Ensuring that statistical information collected and synthesized by the General Statistics Office is disseminated promptly, completely, objectively, transparently, and in accordance with the needs of using State statistical information of domestic and international agencies, organizations, and individuals according to the provisions of law.
- There is a clear division of duties and hierarchy; specify the responsibilities of agencies, units, and statistical workers under the General Statistics Office in implementing statistical information dissemination activities.
- Ensuring feasibility and compatibility with the existing capacity of statistical information sources and other resources of the General Statistics Office.
