07 cases of revocation of household registration book and temporary residence book according to regulations of Vietnam

The Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam has issued guidance on cases of revocation of household registration book and temporary residence book of the Circular No. 55/2021/TT-BCA from July 01, 2021.

Specifically, when citizens carry out procedures for residence in the following 07 cases, which leads to changes in information in the previously issued household registration books or temporary residence books, the residence registration agency shall be responsible for: revoke the issued household registration book and temporary residence book, adjust and update information in the residence database in accordance with the Residence Law of Vietnam and do not issue or re-issue the household registration book or temporary residence book:

(1) Permanent residence registration

(2) Revision of residence information in residence database

(3) Household separation

(4) Annulment of permanent residence registration

(5) Temporary residence registration

(6) Extension of temporary residence registration

(7) Annulment of temporary residence registration.
