Organizations and individuals having vehicles inspected at the inspection center must pay a service fee to the inspection authority. For each different type of vehicle, the service fee will also differ; the inspection cycle and the payable amount will vary. Below is a summary of the inspection service fees for various types of vehicles in 2020 in Vietnam.

According to the Schedule of technical safety inspection and environmental protection service fees for motor vehicles, equipment, and special-use motorcycles in circulation; evaluation, calibration of motor vehicle testing equipment issued with Circular 238/2016/TT-BTC on November 11, 2016, by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, the service fees for vehicle registration of all types in 2020 are specifically stipulated as follows:
Schedule 1: Service fees for motor vehicle registration (cars; tractors; trailers or semi-trailers towed by cars, tractors; two-wheeled motorcycles; three-wheeled motorcycles; mopeds (including electric vehicles) and similar vehicles) in circulation.

For motor vehicles that do not meet technical safety and environmental protection standards and need maintenance and repair for re-inspection in Vietnam, the re-inspection fees are calculated as follows:
- If the re-inspection is conducted on the same day (within working hours) as the first inspection: No fee for the 1st and 2nd re-inspections; starting from the 3rd re-inspection onward, each re-inspection is charged at 50% of the fee specified in Schedule 1.
- If the re-inspection is conducted after 1 day and within 7 days (excluding weekends and holidays) from the date of the first inspection, each re-inspection is charged at 50% of the fee specified in Schedule 1.
- If the re-inspection is conducted after 7 days (excluding weekends and holidays) from the date of the first inspection, the inspection fee is charged as for the first inspection.
