You can still transfer to vocational colleges without a high school diploma

This is the prominent content mentioned in Circular 27/2017/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the transition training among different levels in vocational education.

The vocational education institutions are allowed to admit students to the bridging training program at the college level for the following subjects:

- Individuals who have not graduated from high school but have a vocational secondary diploma and have ensured to study and pass the necessary amount of high school cultural knowledge as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training;- Individuals with a vocational secondary diploma in the same major or career and a high school diploma or equivalent;- Individuals with a college diploma or vocational college diploma who wish to pursue a bridging program to obtain a second college diploma.

According to Circular 27, individuals holding a vocational secondary diploma in the same major or career training program will have a bridging training period of 1 to 2 years at the college level. For other subjects, the training period is based on the volume of knowledge and skills stipulated for each major or career.

Circular 27/2017/TT-BLDTBXH comes into effect from November 05, 2017.
