Who is entitled to the 5th stage of electricity reduction due to the impact of COVID-19 in Vietnam?

According to this Official Dispatch, the subject supported to reduce electricity bills include:

- Electricity users who are factories or production facilities located in provinces and centrally-run cities are implementing social distancing in accordance with Directive 16/CT- TTg as of August 25, 2021 and are maintaining production in the following areas:

(i) Enterprises processing and preserving aquatic products and aquatic products;

(ii) Enterprises processing and preserving vegetables;

(iii) Enterprises producing export goods with an export turnover of over 1 billion dollar in 2020.

- Customers who are buying electricity directly from the Electricity Corporation/Electricity Company under the Vietnam Electricity Group or other electricity retailers.

* The amount of reduction of electricity bill: 10% reduction of electricity bill (before VAT) 

* The period of reduction of electricity bill:  03 months from the September to the end of November 2021 electricity bill period.

 After this time, the selling price of electricity shall be applied under the provisions of Decision 648/QD-BCT dated March 20, 2019 on adjustment of the average retail price of electricity and regulations on the selling price of electricity or in another document to replace the electricity price.

Subjects receiving electricity price reduction and other reduction in electricity bills continue to follow the instructions in Official Dispatch 3163/BCT-DTDL dated June 3, 2021 and Official Dispatch 4748/BCT-DTDL dated August 6, 2021.
