When stamping over a signature on a document in Vietnam, the stamp must cover approximately 1/3 of the signature on the left side

This is a notable content in Decision 1032/QD-BNV on the promulgation of the Regulation on clerical and archival work by the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam.

In Article 31 of Decision 1032/QD-BNV on the usage of seals in Vietnam, it is stipulated as follows:

- The seal must be clear, neat, oriented correctly, and use the prescribed red ink;

- When stamping over a signature, the seal must cover approximately one-third of the signature on the left side;

- Stamping on annexes attached to the main document should follow regulations, and the seal should be placed on the first page, covering part of the Ministry of Home Affairs' name or the annex title;

- The overlapping seal should be stamped in the middle of the right edge of the document or the document annex, covering part of the pages; each seal should cover a maximum of 05 pages.

In addition, under this Decision, the secret key storage device of the agency is used to digitally sign electronic documents by the Ministry of Home Affairs and convert paper documents to electronic documents as stipulated in Appendix I of Decree 30/2020/ND-CP.
