This is the noteworthy content of Official Dispatch 2717/BHXH-QLT issued by Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance, sent to employers in Ho Chi Minh City regarding the guidance on contributing to Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Unemployment Insurance, and Occupational Accident - Occupational Disease Insurance from January 1, 2019.
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance requests, from January 1, 2019, that all employers review the region-based minimum wage s in the salary scale and salary tables previously submitted to the labor management agency to adjust accordingly, ensuring no lower than the new region-based minimum wage.
The region-based minimum wage in Ho Chi Minh City is specifically as follows:
- VND 4,180,000/month applied to urban districts and the rural districts of Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh, Nha Be;
- VND 3,710,000/month applied to Can Gio district.
Additionally, based on this region-based minimum wage, employers must adjust the wage and salary levels recorded in labor contracts as a basis for paying social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance for each employee according to the established salary scale and table.
