Vietnam: Working position required for reassignment in the field of S&T in the locality

The Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam issued promulgation Circular 20/2022/TT-BKHCN dated December 30, 2022 on regulations on the list and period of periodic change of working positions in agencies, organizations and units in the field of science and technology (S&T) in local governments.

The Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam promulgated Circular 20/2022/TT-BKHCN dated December 30, 2022 on the list and periodical deadline for changing working positions in agencies, organizations, and units in the field of science and technology (S&T) in the local government.

According to Vietnam's Circular 20/2022/TT-BKHCN, the position of management of S&T research tasks is periodically changed in the locality, including:

- Receiving and processing applications for scientific and technological tasks identification, ordering, selection, direct delivery, assessment, and acceptance;

- Receiving and process applications of appraisal of funding for scientific and technological tasks;

- Inspecting and evaluating the implementation process and post-acceptance test of state-funded science and technology tasks;

In addition, Vietnam's Circular 20/2022/TT-BKHCN also stipulates the change of location for radiation and nuclear safety activities in the locality, including:

- Managing and carrying out the receipt of declarations, safety assessment, licensing, amendment, supplement, extension, and re-issuance of permits to conduct radiation work in medical diagnostic X-ray equipment;

- Issuing a radiation worker certificate to the person in charge of safety at a medical diagnostic X-ray facility.

Vietnam's Circular 20/2022/TT-BKHCN takes effect from March 15, 2023.
