Vietnam: To suspend festival, karaoke service, discotheque in areas with epidemic outbreaks

According to Vietnam's Official Dispatch 365/BVHTTDL-VHCS, in order to implement Vietnam's Directive 05/CT-TTg on a number of urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam requests the People's Committees of the provinces and cities under The Center to implement the following:

• Direct agencies and specialized units in the culture, sports, and tourism sectors to strictly implement Directive 05/CT-TTg;

• Based on the local epidemic situation, decide to postpone or stop organizing sports events in the locality;

• Direct training establishments, physical training and sports service business establishments, and physical training and sports activity establishments to strictly comply with regulations on prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic;

• Suspend festival organization, karaoke service, discotheque, and cultural activities with large gatherings in communities where there are epidemic outbreaks and a risk of infection;Reduce the scale, adjust the form and time of organizing cultural activities and festivals for localities where epidemics have not yet arisen;

• Strengthen inspection of the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures. Strictly handle cases of violations of regulations on epidemic prevention and control in the field of cultural, sports, and tourism activities in the locality;
