Below is the remarkable content specified in Official Dispatch 1074/BYT-TB-CT on strengthening production and business management to ensure the quality of medical equipment for epidemic prevention issued by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam on February 22, 2021.

In order to strengthen the management of production and trading of medical equipment and ensure the supply and quality according to regulations, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam proposed to the Chairman of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities to direct the Department of Health and the functional units to urgently implement the following contents:

  • Study and strictly implement the Government of Vietnam's direction and the spirit of Vietnam's Official Dispatch 955/BYT-KH-TC dated February 9, 2021;
  • Review and strengthen the management and post-audit of production units in general, in which attention should be paid to units producing medical equipment for epidemic prevention and control in the area (including units in hi-tech parks and export processing zones) and guide the announcement of eligibility to manufacture medical equipment; announce standards for application of class A medical equipment and other regulations in the above Decree;

    Strengthen inspection and strictly handle according to regulations and report to the Ministry of Health of Vietnam for violating medical equipment manufacturing facilities. (manufacturing fake goods/goods of poor quality, not making announcements or having announced but no production activities, hoarding goods with unreasonable price increases, collecting used gloves and masks to recycle...).
