Vietnam: To strengthen IT applications to eliminate gender-based violence in the period of 2021 - 2025

Recently, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 212/LDTBXH-GD elaborating the implementation of the Program on Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in the 2021-2025 period.

Vietnam's Official Dispatch 212/LDTBXH-BGD clearly states that, on the basis of the targets of the Program on Prevention and Response to Violence, provinces and cities shall review and develop targets for each year and up to 2025 to suit local conditions. Carrying out communication to raise awareness and responsibility for preventing and responding to gender-based violence, including:

Diversify direct and online communication forms and activities to suit each target group, region, and local socioeconomic development conditions;
Focus on the participation of reputable people in the community, especially men and young people, to create change in society;
Strengthen the application of information technology and social networks in communication to eliminate gender-based violence;
Organize communication activities; mobilize policymakers to propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of prevention and response to gender-based violence, such as: seminars, workshops, training , dialogue on television,...;
