Vietnam to reduce the 2022 land rent due to COVID-19

On January 30, 2023, the Government of Vietnam approved Resolution No. 7/NQ-CP on reduction of land rent and water surface rent in 2022 for subjects affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.

According to the Resolution, the 30% reduction of land rent and water surface rent in 2022 shall apply to organizations, units, enterprises, households, and individuals that:

Are having land leased directly by the State under Decisions or Contracts or certificates of land use rights, housing ownership rights, and other on-land property of competent state agencies in the form of land rental with annual payment due to COVID-19.

(Compared to Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP 2022, Resolution No. 7/NQ-CP replaces the phrase “have to suspend production or business due to COVID-19” with the phrase “due to COVID-19”)

See more details in Resolution No. 7/NQ-CP dated January 30, 2023 and replaces Point a Section 3 Part II of Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP dated January 30, 2022.
