Vietnam: To provide training on basic population knowledge for at least 80% of population civil servants

This is one of the specific goals set out in the Project on training and improving the capacity of population officers in Vietnam at all levels for the period 2021 - 2030 (Project) approved together with Decision 520/QD-TTg dated April 1, 2021.

Specifically, the project sets out specific goals for the training of the population staff team at all levels in the 2021–2030 period in Vietnam as follows:

- Strengthen the organization of basic population training classes for civil servants doing population work (a minimum of 80% of civil servants are trained in basic population knowledge).

- Provide professional training for the contingent of public employees doing population work to meet the requirements of the job positions and assigned tasks (100% of civil servants doing population work are trained according to the standard of population professional titles).

- At least 90% of health workers providing family planning and reproductive health services in district and commune health facilities in Vietnam have the knowledge and skills to provide population and development services.

- At least 80% of the health leaders of district and commune health units in Vietnam are trained in population management and development to perform assigned population work management.

- Annually provide training for population collaborators according to local needs and capabilities.
