Vietnam: To promulgate action plan for Program to assist people with disabilities in period of 2021 - 2030

Promulgated together with Vietnam's Decision 365/QD-BGTVT is the Action Plan to implement Vietnam's Decision 1190/QD-TTg approving the Program to assist people with disabilities in the 2021–2030 period with specific targets as follows:

- At least 30% of people with disabilities wishing to participate in traffic may use public passenger transport vehicles meeting the technical regulations on accessible traffic or assistance in using public transit or equivalent assistance. At least 40% of people with disabilities participating in traffic are exempted or entitled to a reduced fare according to regulations, especially for inter-provincial passenger transport services by road on fixed routes. At least 40% of people with disabilities are entitled to a reduced fare when using

- In the period 2026-2030, at least 50% of people with disabilities who wish to join traffic may use public passenger transport vehicles, ensuring technical standards on accessible traffic; or assistance in using public transit or equivalent assistance. According to regulations, 100% of people with disabilities participating in traffic are exempted from paying fares. In particular, inter-provincial passenger transport services by road on fixed routes, at least 60% of people with disabilities are entitled to a reduced fare when using them.
