Vietnam: To officially remove procedure for notifying enterprise seal samples from 2021

Below is the remarkable content specified in Vietnam's Law on Enterprise 2020 which officially takes effect from January 1, 2021.

Specifically, in Article 43 of Vietnam's Law on Enterprise 2020, the enterprise’s seals can be physical or digital as prescribed by e-transaction laws. The enterprise shall decide the type, quantity, design and content of its seal and the seals of its branches, representative offices and other units.

In particular, the management and storage of seals shall comply with the company's charter or regulations of the enterprise, branch, representative office or unit that owns the seal. Seals shall be used by enterprises in transactions as prescribed by the law in Vietnam.

Thus, from January 1, 2021, enterprises are not required to carry out the procedures for notifying the sample of their corporate seal to the business registration authority for public posting on Vietnam National Business Registration Portal before when used as before.
