On February 20, 2023, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP 2023 on the Action Program 2022-2026 on the implementation of Directive No. 15-CT/TW on economic diplomacy for the development of Vietnam by 2030.
According to the Resolution, measures to improve the quality and efficiency of international integration are as follows:
Continue the mobilization of partners recognizing the market economy regulations of Vietnam.
Proactively complete the remedial system to protect the economy, enterprises, and domestic markets in accordance with international commitments; study and utilize commercial instruments and international laws.
Improve the capacity for early warning of trade remedy lawsuits and the capacity for handling commercial disputes, conducting international investment, and combating trade protectionism measures, dumping lawsuits, and subsidy regarding Vietnam’s exports.
Actively participate and promote the role of Vietnam in international financial cooperation to attract resources for developing and strengthening the capacity for administrating and responding to global risks and financial instabilities.
Continue the innovation of tax policies in accordance with the guidelines on perfecting the socialist-oriented market economy institution and international commitments.
Strengthen the management of foreign debts and accelerate the mobilization of new financial sources to develop and ensure a sustainable public debt structure.
