Vietnam: To fully annul 24 administrative procedures in the field of notarization

On June 11, 2021, the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam issued Decision 991/QD-BTP on the publication of administrative procedures standardization, administrative procedures to be fully annulled in the field of notarization under the management function of the Ministry of Justice.

According to this Decision, 24 administrative procedures which no longer satisfy the conditions of administrative procedures as prescribed in Vietnam's Decree 92/2017/ND-CP are fully annulled in Vietnam. For example,

- Dismissal of the notary (in case of dismissal);

- Suspension of notarial practice probation;

- Termination of notary office operations (in case of self-termination);

- Revoking the decision permitting the establishment of a notary office;

- Refusal to provide probationary guidance (in case the notarial practice organization does not have other notaries who are qualified to provide probationary guidance);

- Notarized translation;

- Notarization of pre-drafted contracts and transactions;

- Notarization of real estate mortgage contract

- Notarization of the agreement on division of the estate;

Vietnam's Decision 991/QD-BTP takes effect from June 11, 2021.
