Vietnam to develop legislative documents guiding 6 new Laws approved at the end of 2022

On December 12, 2022, the Prime Minister of Vietnam promulgated Decision No. 1529/QD-TTg on the list and assignment of agencies taking charge of the draft of documents guiding laws and resolutions approved by the XV National Assembly of Vietnam at the 4th Meeting Session.

Previously, at the 4th Meeting Session, the XV National Assembly of Vietnam approved 6 Laws, including:

- Law on Prevention and Combat against Money Laundering 2022;

- Petroleum Law 2022;

- Law on Grassroots Democracy Implementation 2022;

- Amended Law on Radio Frequencies 2022;

- Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence 2022;

- Law on Inspection 2022.

To guide these Laws, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has promulgated decisions on the assignment of drafting agencies and has prescribed the time to present guiding legislative documents.

Specifically, the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence 2022 will have 2 guiding legislative documents:

- The Decree elaborating the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence 2022 (Clause 3 Article 19, Clause 8 Article 25; Clause 5 Article 40, and Clause 3 Article 42) with the deadline for presentation is May 2023;

- The Decree on the Database on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence (Clause 3 Article 43) with the deadline for presentation is October 2024.
