Vietnam: To approve Law and Ordinance Development Program 2022

On July 27, 2021, the National Assembly of Vietnam approved Resolution 17/2021/QH15 on the Law and Ordinance Development Program in 2022, adjusting the Law and Ordinance Development Program in 2021.

According to Vietnam's Resolution 17/2021/QH15, the program for developing laws and ordinances in 2022 includes:

* 3rd session (May 2022):

- Submit to National Assembly of Vietnam for approval:

+ Law on Mobile Police;

+ Law on Cinema (amended);

+ Law on Insurance Business (amended);

+ Law on Emulation and Commendation (amended);

+ Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property;

+ Resolution on the Law and Ordinance Development Program in 2023 (and adjustments to the Law and Ordinance Development Program in 2022, if any).

- Submit to National Assembly of Vietnam for comments:

+ Petroleum Law (amended);

+ Law on Land (amended) (1st comment);

+ Law on prevention and combat of domestic violence (amended);

+ Law on Inspection (amended);

+ Law on implementing democracy in communes, wards, and townships.

* 4th session (October 2022)

- Submit to National Assembly of Vietnam for approval:

+ Petroleum Law (amended);

+ Law on prevention and combat of domestic violence (amended);

+ Law on Inspection (amended);

+ Law on implementing democracy in communes, wards, and townships.

- Submit to National Assembly of Vietnam for comments:

+ Law on Protection of Consumer Rights (amended);

+ Land Law (amended) (2nd comment).

Vietnam's Resolution 17/2021/QH15 was approved on July 27, 2021.
