The Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision 39/QD-TTg in 2023 on the Plan to supervise law enforcement in key areas, interdisciplinary.
According to Vietnam's Decision 39/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister of Vietnam assigns ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and heads of government-attached agencies and Chairmen of People's Committees in provinces and centrally run cities are responsible for arranging civil servants to perform tasks, funding them, and ensuring conditions for supervising the effectivéness and lawfulness of law enforcement.
In addition, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-attached agencies, and chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities are also responsible for performing the following tasks:
- To timely promulgate and organize the implementation of the Plan to monitor the situation of law enforcement in key and interdisciplinary fields in accordance with the ministries', branches', and localities' functions, tasks, and powers;
- To publicly announce the results of monitoring the law enforcement situation, except for the contents of work secrets or state secrets;
- To closely coordinate with the Ministry of Justice and relevant ministries, branches, and localities in the process of organizing the implementation of the Plan;
- To summarize and report to the Prime Minister the results of law enforcement monitoring in key and interdisciplinary areas in the Report on law enforcement monitoring in 2023 of ministries, branches, and localities sent to the Ministry of Justice before December 10, 2023.
