Vietnam to add 20 intermediate artistic professions to the list of arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations from July 30, 2023

Compared with Circular No. 36/2017/TT-BLDTBXH, Circular No. 05/2023/TT-BLDTBXH has added 20 performance art professions (Code 52102) to the list of arduous, hazardous, and dangerous intermediate occupations, specifically:

- Hue opera performance art (Code 5210201);

- Folk song performance art (Code 5210202);

- “Cheo” performance art (Code 5210203);

- “Tuong” performance art (Code 5210204);

- “Cai Luong” performance art (Code 5210205);

- Drama and dance performance art (Code 5210206);

General regulations on arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations

According to Article 22 of the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene 2015, general regulations on arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations are as follows:

- Arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations and extremely arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations are classified according to their characteristics and particular working condition.

- The Minister of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam shall promulgate a List of arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations and extremely arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations with the consent of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam; and regulations on classification standards of occupations according to working condition.

- Employers shall provide adequate personal protective equipment and health care for employees who engage in arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations and extremely arduous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations as prescribed by laws.

See more details in Circular No. 05/2023/TT-BLDTBXH, which comes into force as of July 30, 2023, replaces Circular No. 36/2017/TT-BLDTBXH, and applies to training courses that start from July 30, 2023.  

Regarding training courses that have started before July 30, 2023, comply with Circular No. 36/2017/TT-BLDTBXH until their end.
