Vietnam to accelerate the disclosure of the list of surveillance cameras satisfying national technical regulations

On December 26, 2022, the Prime Minister of Vietnam promulgated Directive No. 23/CT-TTg on strengthening the assurance of cyber information security and information security for surveillance cameras.

According to the Directive, the Prime Minister of Vietnam requests the Ministry of Information and Communications to prioritize integrating dissemination contents and guidelines on assurance of cyber information security for surveillance cameras into the Scheme for Dissemination and Improvement of Awareness and Universalization of Knowledge of Information Safety 2021-2025 according to Decision No. 1907/QD-TTg 2020.

Additionally, the Ministry of Information and Communications shall disclose the list of surveillance cameras satisfying the national technical regulation on fundamental cyber information security requirements for surveillance cameras.

Develop a code of criteria for fundamental cyber information security requirements for surveillance cameras. Deadline for completion: March 2023.

Promulgate the national technical regulation on fundamental cyber information security requirements for surveillance cameras and disseminate, universalize, and guide the application of this technical regulation

Assume the prime responsibility for implementing, guiding, urging, supervising, and inspecting the implementation of contents of Directive No. 23/CT-TTg; submit reports on the implementation result to the Prime Minister of Vietnam.
