Vietnam: The Ministry of Health revokes Official Dispatch No. 5944/BYT-YDCT on traditional medicines to support the treatment of Covid-19

On July 26 2021, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch No. 5967/BYT-YDCT revokes Official Dispatch No. 5944/BYT-YDCT on strengthening the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic with traditional drugs and herbal products.

Particularly, on July 24 2021, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch No. 5944/BYT-YDCT on strengthening the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic with traditional drugs and herbal products. According to the Official Dispatch, there are 12 traditional medicines, for examples:

- Ngoc binh phong gia Xuyen tam lien (Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Medicine Hospital, Ministry of Public Security);

- Kovir capsules (Sunstar Investment Joint Stock Company);

- Bach dia can (Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Medicine Hospital, Ministry of Public Security);

- Sore throat syrup (Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Medicine Hospital, Ministry of Public Security);

- Duong am bo phe syrup (Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Medicine Hospital, Ministry of Public Security);

- Ngan kieu Syrup (Traditional Medicine Academy, Ministry of National Defense);

- Hanh to (National Hospital of Traditional Medicine);

- Xuyen tam lien;…

However, due to some inappropriate content, the Ministry of Health revoked this Official Dispatch.

Official Dispatch No. 5967/BYT-YDCT was issued on July 26, 2021.
