Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Circular 01/2021/TT-BCT amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular 30/2016/TT-BCT regulations on judicial expertise in the field of industry and trade.
According to Article 2a of this Circular, Article 2a, the scope of judicial expertise in the field of industry and trade after Article 2 of Circular 30 is as follows:
Judicial expertise in the field of industry and trade includes judicial expertise on professional issues within the scope of the functions, tasks, and powers of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam in accordance with law in the following areas:
Chemicals, industrial explosives,
Heavy and light industry;
Industrial engineering safety
Food safety;
Goods export and import;
Ecommerce;
Market management;
Competition and consumer protection
Promotion;
Other fields as prescribed by law.
In addition, Vietnam's Circular 01/2021/TT-BCT also adds regulations on the new issuance, re-issuance, and withdrawal of judicial assessor cards. Therefore, the issuance and revocation of judicial assessor cards is carried out concurrently with the appointment and dismissal of judicial experts. The card form, order, and procedures for issuance and re-issuance of judicial assessor cards comply with the provisions of Vietnam's Circular 11/2020/TT-BTP.
