Vietnam’s schedule for registration fees for motor vehicles and motorcycles from November 6, 2023 

According to the Decision, the schedule for registration fees for all types of motor vehicles and motorcycles on the market will be applied as of November 6, 2023. 

Specifically, the Schedule for registration fees for motor vehicles and motorcycles enclosed with Decision No. 2353/QD-BTC includes 7 small tables as follows: 

- Table 1: Passenger motor vehicles from 9 seats to below

+ Part 1a. Imported passenger motor vehicles from 9 seats to below (4553 types) 

+ Part 1b. Domestically assembled and produced passenger motor vehicles from 9 seats to below (962 types) 

- Table 2: Pickup trucks and vans 

+ Part 2a. Imported pickup trucks and vans (249 types) 

+ Part 2b. Domestically assembled and produced pickup trucks and vans (108 types) 

- Table 3: Passenger transport motor vehicles from 10 seats to above, applicable to countries of manufacture and assembly as follows: Vietnam; Korea; China, Taiwan; Japan, America, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, England, Sweden, and other countries of manufacture and assembly. 

- Table 4: Goods transport motor vehicles (excluding pickup trucks and vans), applicable to countries of manufacture and assembly as follows: Vietnam; Korea; China, Taiwan; Japan, America, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, England, Sweden, and other countries of manufacture and assembly. 

- Table 5: Motor vehicles produced before 2000 

- Table 6: Motorcycles 

+ Part 6a. Imported motorcycles (1823 types) 

+ Part 6b.  Domestically assembled and produced motorcycles (818 types) 

- Table 7: Motorcycles produced before 2000 

See more details in Decision No. 2353/QD-BTC, which comes into force as of November 6, 2023 and annuls the following documents: 

- Decision No. 618/QD-BTC 2019 of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam on promulgating the Schedule for registration fees for motor vehicles and motorcycles; 

- Decisions on adjustments and additions: Decision No. 1112/QD-BTC 2019, Decision No. 2064/QD-BTC 2019, Decision No. 452/QD-BTC 2020, and Decision No. 1238/QD-BTC 2020.
