Vietnam’s regulations on early departure flight, delayed flight and canceled flight according to Circular No. 52/2018/TT-BGTVT

The Ministry of Transport of Vietnam issued Circular No. 52/2018/TT-BGTVT on amendments to some articles of Circular No. 81/2014/TT-BGTVT on air transport and general aviation.

According to Circular No. 52/2018/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, an early departure flight means a flight having the actual time of departure (when aircraft chocks are removed) earlier than its estimated time of departure based on its flight schedule.

A delayed flight means a flight having the actual time of departure (when aircraft chocks are removed) of 15 minutes later than its estimated time of departure based on its flight schedule.

Concurrently, Circular No. 52/2018/TT-BGTVT also amends the provision that a canceled flight means a flight that is not operated due to the cancellation schedule made by an airline (according to current regulations, flight cancellation refers to the act of not operating a scheduled flight after the booking and sale of flight tickets have been announced).
