Vietnam's: Guidelines for coordinated investigation of marine and island resources and environment to 2030

Recently, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision 216/QD-TTg in 2021 on the Regulation on coordination in management and implementation of the key program for basic investigation of resources and environment of sea and islands up to 2030.

Promulgated together with Vietnam's Decision 216/QD-TTg is a regulation on coordination in management and implementation of the key program for basic investigation of resources and the environment of the sea and islands by 2030 with the following coordination content:

- Coordinating the implementation of the program:

  • Making plans and budget estimates; managing and allocating funds solely for tasks and projectssynthesizing and allocating program annual funds.
  • Monitoring, examination, evaluation, preliminary and final summarization of the program;

  • Linking the Program's implementation with Vietnam's Scientific and Technological Research Program for the management of seas and islands and marine economic development and other related programs, schemes, and projects;

  • Ensuring security and safety during implementation.

- Coordinating the implementation of tasks and projects under the program in Vietnam:

  • Evaluation and approval of the project's implementation;
  • Guiding, allocating, and assigning plans and estimates of the state budget for implementation;

  • Inspection, supervision, acceptance, finalization, and delivery of products;

  • Information and reports in the process of implementation.
