Vietnam's guideline on how to apply for voluntary social insurance books on the Public Service Portal

This content is specified in Decision No. 49/QD-BHXH of Vietnam dated January 19, 2023, on promulgating the “Voluntary Social Insurance Registration on the Public Service Portal” online public service.

According to the Decision, applicants shall follow the below steps to apply for voluntary social insurance books on the Public Service Portal:  

- Step 1. Register and log in to their accounts on the National Public Service Portal via https://dichvucong.gov.vn or the Public Service Portal of the Vietnam Social Security via https://dichvucong.baohiemxahoi.gov.vn

- Step 2. Select the Voluntary Social Insurance Registration service.

- Step 3. Declare information following guidelines to perform the voluntary social insurance registration.

- Step 4. Select payment methods and perform the payment following the guidelines.

- Step 5. Receive notifications: electronic receipts from banking systems or payment intermediaries.

- Step 6. Receive notifications of the time for grant of social insurance books.

- Step 7. Receive electronic or paper social insurance books according to the registered method.
