Vietnam's Directive 10/CT-BCT: To strengthen management of import and export of strategic products

On August 23, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Directive 10/CT-BCT on strengthening the management of export and import of a number of commodities to support domestic production and consumption activities.

In order to contribute to stabilizing prices and markets, thereby supporting domestic production and consumption in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam requested functional units under the Ministry, corporations, corporations, industry associations and enterprises dealing in the export and import of items of strategic significance to the economy, to implement a number of specific tasks, for example:

Vietnam Petroleum Association, Vietnam Sugarcane Association, Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Groups, Corporations, key traders in exporting and importing petroleum, sugar importing enterprises sharing with the activities of domestic manufacturing enterprises, prioritizing the use of domestic goods instead of imported goods.

In addition, functional units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam are responsible for reviewing the import and export management mechanism; on that basis, proposing measures to strengthen the export and import management for goods that need to be supported for domestic production and consumption; urgently report to the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam before August 30, 2021.
